About George Ivey

George Ivey - Fundraiser, Writer, ConservationistGeorge has lived in four states and traveled to two dozen more (as well as 14 foreign countries), but Western North Carolina has always been his home, from its beautiful natural areas and farmlands to its vibrant downtowns. His career has so far included everything from working on Capitol Hill to restoring rivers to raising millions of dollars for conservation and education, always with a healthy amount of professional and creative writing. He now serves as the Development Officer of The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville.
